Nov. 18th, 2008 08:38 pmI only work half a day tomorrow, because a repairman is coming out to fix the garage door. Lance is already going to be here Thursday and Friday for the windows, so it's only fair that I step up and take the time off for this. Lance can't anyway. He volunteering for Habitat For Humanity tomorrow...his office is doing it.
This is going to be an expensive repair, but it's one that needs doing. Considering the high rate of car thefts in this neighborhood (or so we've heard from neighbors...we haven't really witnessed this for ourselves), I can't leave my car out in the driveway. We have to keep it locked up in the garage. Right now, Lance manually opens and closes it for me when I leave in the mornings and return home in the evenings. But we can't do that forever, especially if he has to leave again.
Yeah, this sucks. But at least it didn't happen last week.
So anyway, on short notice, I got the time off. Glad that everyone was so understanding about my situation.

I had to stop by Target on the way home tonight to pick up some milk, and some sandwich fixings, Cheetos and Reese's PB Cups for Lance (for his lunch tomorrow). When I got home, Lance was busy in the kitchen making a casserole (one of those boxed things...he doesn't really do stuff from scratch). I pulled a can of peas and some frozen dinner rolls out for him to make with the dinner. It was just nice to come home and not have to worry about the cooking. And I have to say, we're both pretty addicted to the Banquet Homestyle Bakes Creamy Stroganoff. That is some good stuff.
