prosodicLance and I had a date this afternoon. We haven't had a date in quite some time.
Lunch at Johnny Rockets. I had grilled cheese on sourdough. Lance and I shared some fries. Johnny Rockets does burgers well, but I wasn't terribly impressed with their grilled cheese. It was too boring. It would've been far better with some bacon or something.
We got to the movie theater way early, anticipating a large turnout. We were right. And while the audience was relatively behaved, which was refreshing (no annoying cellphones or people talking over the movie), I can't say it was the most enjoyable movie experience I ever had. If you've read Marley and Me, you pretty much already know what to expect from the film. Yeah, I cried. You would have to have a heart of stone not to feel something at the end, especially if you're a dog owner.
But I still liked the movie. And it was nice to just escape for a bit.
