Lance and I just got back from a walk with Reece. We went to the Green River Trail again today. It's funny, but Kent has so many parks, many of them with trails, and we always end up there. I really need to get out to Soos Creek one of these days. But it seems so out in the boonies.

Lance needs to study for his promotion test, which is Thursday. So after dinner, I'll probably be hanging out with Reece and taking care of our own entertainment for the evening so Lance can have some time to himself. Guess it's time to watch a movie. If it weren't a Saturday, I would go out and rent something, but all the good movies are usually taken by now. I still might go out anyway and see what they have.

I tried out some of the Philosophy samples last night. [livejournal.com profile] anmorata sent me 2 each of shampoo/bath/shower gel combo, facial scrub, facial cleanser, 2 kinds of facial moisturizer and sunscreen. I used the facial scrub last night and I LOVED it. My skin looked healthier and felt so much softer afterwards. And I felt refreshed. The shower gel is very nice too. I used it this morning.

I made an amazon.com order today. I've had a book on my wishlist that I think will be useful as we get closer to travel season. It's a guide to dog-friendly places in the Pacific Northwest. So I ordered a used copy of that that still qualified for free shipping with the $25 purchase. So I added a few more things from my wishlist: Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke, Sonnets from the Portuguese by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and a CD. Right now, the dog-friendly travel guide will be the most useful thing. I would really like to visit the Oregon coast for a weekend (or even the Washington coast would be nice), and we want to take Reece with us whenever possible, especially if it's only for an overnight stay.

My first Philosophy kit was $78, and I cringed when I spent it. But I later realized the value when it lasted me just a bit over 6 months. That, to me, was worth it. I bought the kit for congested skin, and the Hope in a Bottle stuff is utterly worth it to me. It keeps me nearly breakout-free, as long as I use it twice a day.
