Whilst perusing online recipes and looking for coupons to print out, I discovered that the Campbell's website has a 30 page recipe book you can download for free. So, if you're looking for budget-friendly, quick and easy meals, you may want to click the link.

Just thought I would share.

I'm really trying to cut down on our grocery bill. It's a bit nuts that we pay $200 + per month on groceries for just the two of us. And this is with shopping at the commissary and using coupons. I think a lot of it is due to the fact that we're buying a lot of things that aren't on the list. I think Lance is more guilty of this than I am, but it's still something we need to work on.

Of course, I think groceries here are ridiculously expensive compared to, say, the midwest.

I think $200 is actually pretty good, when Aaron is here we're easily above $300 plus eating out occasionally. I would like to reduce that too but it's going to be difficult, at least when he first comes home. Thankfully the exchange rate has been improving.

I also think $200 for a month is really good! You must plan out your groceries really well. :)

I don't, really. Almost half the stuff in our cart generally isn't on my shopping list. That's because if the commissary has it on sale, and it's one of our staples, I'll stock up. But I suppose that's not a bad thing.

Wow, I am also impressed with $200 a month on groceries. We spend at least $400/mo. (and it's not like it's because we have a kid--I don't know that we've ever averaged less than $400/mo EVER).

Maybe it just seems high to me because we always seem to have frivolous things in our cart (like Lance's 24 packs of Pepsi) that seem to add a lot to our bill.

Wow. I don't think I would ever expect us to have a grocery bill that low! We stick to the outside aisles generally, but even when I'm not adding guests/parties/dinners to our monthly bill, we spend about $300/month.
