Busy Saturday

Lance and I got back a short while ago from our errands. We went to McLendon Hardware and the place was packed. They were having a huge plant sale. I picked up some Impatiens and Lobelia to plant in the flower bed underneath our rear windows. Lobelia wasn't something I planned on, but it caught my eye. So I thought I would try it.

After I finish my lunch, I'll go out there and plant. It shouldn't take too long. I'm doing the flower bed in bits and pieces, rather than planting stuff in there all at once. I'm pretty new to gardening and I don't have the stamina to spend the entire day out planting things.

I was feeling like barbecue for tonight, so Lance and I stopped at the grocery store to pick up sliced cheese and buns. And I grabbed some potato salad.

We came home and started on lunch. I made a ham, egg and cheese on a toasted english muffin. And I thawed out some frozen peaches.

I don't think I'll be hanging out with Farlis today. She wanted to get together this afternoon and walk, but I texted her and she never responded. I've got too much on my plate today anyway. I will absolutely make sure that Reece gets some exercise though.

I need to do my freelance work. I also need to bake some double chocolate chip muffins. I'll take some over to Kathy's tonight, along with a movie.

In other news, my aunt has offered to design business cards for me, which I'll print out here at home. Sweet! She's a graphic designer, and she showed me some samples of business cards she's designed in the past. I can't wait to see what she comes up with for me.

Lobelias are a good hanging plant. Plant them in a hanging basket or a place where they can droop down. They grow longer and longer through out the season
