Yes, I am finally joining the 21st century and opening a Twitter account.

Apparently, you cannot be taken seriously as a writer unless you tweet.

I think this is patently ridiculous, as I pretty much use Facebook for that same purpose. Now that I have it connected to my mobile, I post status updates much more frequently. Are status updates not like tweets? I really see no difference.

Yet...here I am, succumbing to something that I have lived perfectly well without, thus far. We'll see how this experiment goes. I thought Facebook was stupid when I first joined, but now I'm on it more than Live Journal.

There's an application to link Twitter to your Facebook, so I do status updates that way. Seems a tad easier. I also use a program called TweetDeck to manage replies and such, instead of their web interface.
