prosodic: (oh hai - Reece)

My plans to go grocery shopping are shot for the day. Reece has diarrhea, and I don't want to leave the house knowing that I may return to a very unpleasant mess.

I threw out her old water, cleaned her water bowl, and refilled it with fresh water.

I dumped out what was left of her food.

I'm currently cooking some plain white long grain rice, which will be her diet for the rest of the day.

She is acting completely normal aside from this, so I'm not seeing the need to call the vet right now. She's not the slightest bit lethargic. In fact, she wants to play right now and is getting rather impatient with me. I'm trying to get her to hydrate, but she will have none of it. Maybe if I give her a couple ice cubes...

I freeze pieces of kibble or treats into ice cubes for Annie. She absolutely loves them!

Reece loves plain ice cubes. I think she just likes the feel of something frozen in her mouth. And if it gets some water into her, so much the better.

Yeah, ice cubes are how we get Puck to hydrate if he's not interested in water.

She's doing much better. She hasn't been sick since this morning, so I'm mixing in a little of her regular food with the rice.
