I applied yesterday to be a writer for a website that covers Seattle-area neighborhoods: things to do, places to eat, etc. They checked out my blog (not this one...my travel blog), liked what they saw, and want me to write for them. They gave me 5-6 cities in the Seattle area, and I need to cover neighborhoods within those cities. I don't even have to be familiar with those neighborhoods myself. I just need to do research about them. And I'm happy to do that, because it helps me learn more about the area.

So I write a short blurb about these areas, and I get paid. Fun, simple, good research for me in planning excursions around town. It's truly a win-win situation.

I still need to finish the 2nd half of this current project. Getting ready to do that here shortly. First, I wanted to research airport parking before I forget. Lance and I are trying to figure out where to leave the car when we fly to Ohio in 3 weeks. I almost booked at Thrifty because they had a weekly parking special for $72.95, which seemed like a really good deal to me (yes, they're not just a car rental...they also offer airport parking). But then I saw Ajax Parking had a special rate of $7.80 per day, which obviously works out to be even cheaper over the course of a week. I'll consult with Lance tomorrow when he comes home.

Another beautiful, warm day today. I need to get Reece out for some exercise somewhere...either fetch in the park or out to Reber Ranch again or something. She's getting restless, but I think a lot of that is that she misses Lance. She gets more and more snuggly with me each morning.

I took her out for a walk last night and we encountered a dog off-leash. Another Pit Bull. Or perhaps he was a mix. The owner was right there. She was actually trying to lure him into her car. He was friendly. His name was Charlie. And I used Reece as a lure to get him close enough to where we could grab him so that she could get him in the car. He really did not want to be near humans. He really badly wanted to play with Reece. He seemed like a sweet dog. Unlike those two other Pit Bulls in the neighborhood that we encountered back in November. I have no doubt that if that guy hadn't come along in his car to rescue us, those Pit Bulls would've attacked us, once they were finished sizing us up. Reece and I walked past their house 2 days ago and they threw themselves against the fence, snarling and barking.
