When I'm thirty-four...

prosodicSo far I've gotten birthday wishes from Germany, where it's now just after 6 am on the 11th. My friend Lisa - who lives here in Seattle - sent me those wishes via Facebook. She's getting ready to fly back to Vancouver from Munich, will hang out in Vancouver until the 12th, and then will be back here by Saturday. Lance and I have plans to meet up with her on Saturday to hang out and hit up Pike Place Market and such. She is encouraging us to park in her neighborhood and take the bus, which is exactly what we'll do. I think Volunteer Park is near her apartment, so I would like to check that out too. I heard the views of downtown are spectacular from there.
Paula just texted me from Ohio, where it's just past midnight. "You're 34 in Ohio," she said. I texted her back with, "I'm still 33 in Seattle."
HAHA.
Breakfast at Wild Wheat in the morning. I'm strongly leaning toward the smoked salmon omelet. That, and their toasted rustic sourdough with homemade strawberry jam. I'm getting all swoony just thinking about it.
Lance and I were bad and opened up the carton of ice cream in the fridge that I was saving for my birthday cake. It's not like I can't get more. I have to stop by Hollywood Video anyway, since they called earlier and said I get a free rental tomorrow. So I'll run into Target and pick up more ice cream.
It's been a good day. And tomorrow will be good too. I hope I have a lot to look forward to at age 34. I hope things finally start to happen with regards to my writing.
