How long has it been since you completed the job? Most vendors or freelancers allow 30 days for payment.

Obviously, I posted this comment in the wrong place...I was inquiring about the professor job.

I completed it last week, but he assured me he would send payment Wednesday of last week. And then he forgot or something, but I sent him a reminder email on Monday night and he never responded to that.

I would allow 30 days if it were a company, but a private individual? No way.

Agreed. I have waited up to a month for payment before from companies who have contracted me for writing assignments.

I'm just sticking to his claim that he was mailing me a check the next day. I could really use that money.

It's like a couple months ago when I ordered flowers for my friend's funeral and 2 people offered to send in money for that who didn't, one even talked to me about it 3 or 4 times, and she still didn't do it. I have no tolerance for stuff like that. Do what you say you're going to do.
