thinking good thoughts
Jun. 23rd, 2009 12:26 pmEight days until we leave for Columbus. I'm finding it hard to keep myself motivated, but despite that, I still got quite a bit accomplished this morning.
I answered the 3rd question on eNotes this morning that I was required to answer - about Shakespeare's The Tempest. I have now been approved as an eNotes editor, and I can answer student questions and write literature guides. Very exciting. It'll almost be like being in college again, only I actually get paid to do this. Sweet! Glad I can put my Literature degree to some use.
Submitted an article today as well. I wrote it last week, but put the finishing touches on it this morning.
I have some writing to do for a local real estate website. They need some content and asked me to do a write-up of 300-500 words about a Renton neighborhood. So I need to get started on that. It's basically an overview of restaurants, parks, etc. And probably the schools as well. Reasons why people would want to live in that neighborhood.
Got a book review done this morning too for The Devlin Diary.
The sun's out and it's warming up, so I need to take Reece to the doggie playground, I think. I also have a little shopping to do too. I'm going to a potluck on Thursday evening and I was asked to bring a side dish or salad, but I'm bringing a cheese plate instead. We're having grilled meat and veggies, couscous, fruit salad, bread and a dessert, and I think the meal is crying out for a cheese course. So I'm going to check out the Valley Harvest Market near here and see what specialty cheeses they have. They sell a lot of international foods. And maybe some olives to go with the cheese. I might also bring some of this spicy Indian party mix too (bought at the farmers' market), because it's awesome and addictive. Although if you eat too much, you can no longer feel your lips.
Lance just popped in. Surprise!
