prosodicWe're leaving in about an hour and 20 minutes. First we have to drop Reece off at Petsmart (I'm really nervous about this...I hate leaving her there for a week), then we have to find the parking lot at the airport where we're leaving the car, then catch the shuttle to the airport.
We layover in Memphis. It's only for about half an hour, and the gates are not close, so I hope the airport is fairly small so we don't have any issues catching our connection on time. But it's not like it would be the first time we had to run from one side of the airport to another.
We just have a few things we need to finish up here and then we'll be good to go, I think. I packed super light (this is what I love about summer travel) and Lance and I fit everything into one suitcase, which is great, considering what they're charging for luggage now.
Arrival time in Columbus is around 9:30 pm EST. It's going to be a long day...not that much less exhausting than trans-Atlantic travel. And I don't know how much I'll be online while I'm there. My parents are taking the entire time off that we're going to be there, which isn't something I'm used to. When I would make my 2 week visits while we lived in Germany, they would have to work for at least part of that time. So I always had internet time. But I will probably still check in from time to time.
Lance starts classes today anyway, so he'll have to be on the Internet. He has quite a bit of work to do in the coming week.
Paula drives down tomorrow and we'll be spending the day at Franklin Park Conservatory. The family reunion is Saturday. Otherwise, I don't have anything planned.
