I was scrounging through the pantry last night to throw something together for dinner and the result was less than appetizing...for me, anyway. Oh well, can't win 'em all. Lance saved the leftovers for himself. So because I didn't want to eat them, I ran to the store and got some Greek pasta salad from the deli. Put together a small bowl of sliced peaches and strawberries and a handful of rosemary & olive oil Triscuits...dinner, done.
Tomorrow is supposed to be super hot. Not sure how much I'll get done because the house will get hot and I'll be listless. I do need to clean my car. I'll try to get a bit more work done. We have to go grocery shopping too. Tonight we need to water the plants and I need to get Reece out for some exercise.
There might be storms on Sunday. And I'm going to Shakespeare in the park. Not happy about this. We have a lovely menu planned and I'm looking forward to spreading a blanket out in the grass and enjoying a night of Elizabethan comedy.
So...the menu:
- White Bean Salad with Tuna & Artichoke Hearts
- fruit salad
- crusty bread
- mini Babybel cheeses
I'm hoping for sparkling lemonade (if Lisa can find it) and for dessert - some type of European-style biscuit. Probably either LU Le Petit Ecolier or Pim's.
Yum! Will be a great feast, methinks.
