Jul. 29th, 2009 03:43 pmIt's been quite a day.
Had lunch at IKEA with Sigga and her mom. It was nice. Her mother was kind enough to pay for our lunches. I ordered the meatballs. Yum! Probably too heavy for a day like today, though. Sigga shared her chocolate cake with me. Also very good.
Afterwards, I dropped her back off at PaySux and headed to Seatac to work at the Valley View Library. The parking lot was almost full, but I found a spot. Actually finding a place to work inside was a different story, but I finally found a place at an already occupied table. Not the most excellent spot for working, but at least I was in an air conditioned building.
Valley View Library is tiny compared to Kent. I won't be going back.
Anyway, it took me awhile to get hooked up to their Internet. I got about an hour's worth of work done. The connection was incredibly slow and websites wouldn't load, so it wasn't a terribly productive hour. I gave up and packed up my laptop, spent a little time in periodicals reading some magazine articles, and then left.
I'm now at Panera Bread, nursing a frozen lemonade ($4...OUCH! Thank goodness for gift cards) and using their very good free Wi-Fi.
103 degrees outside.
I think I'll leave here around 4:00-4:15 and browse around World Market for a bit before going to pick up Reece. Then we get to head back to our hot and stuffy house. I'll spend most of the evening on the bed, camped out under the ceiling fan. It's the coolest spot. And I'll do more work from there.
