SONOFABITCH!
Oct. 13th, 2009 02:45 pmI HATE HOME OWNERSHIP...I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT!
We just had a guy come to service our furnace.
Not only do we need to replace it, but IT IS SLOWLY POISONING US WITH CARBON MONOXIDE.
We have no choice. It has to go.
And this explains the frequent headaches and extreme fatigue I've been struggling with lately.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...
$16,000 for new windows last year that absolutely had to replaced. Now this. And until we get it replaced, no heat for us. Great, because it gets down into the 30s at night.
Excuse me while I go hit something. EFFFFFF. MY. LIFE.
(And by the way, a different guy serviced our furnace last year and also said we needed it replaced, but we had hoped to make do another year or two with the current furnace. But the average furnace lifespan is about 20 years and ours is about that old.)

Date: 2009-10-15 08:11 pm (UTC)We had 19 windows to replace - some had to be special ordered because of their shape - so that's why it was almost $16k. And that was actually cheap compared to other companies.
