So...full...want...to...die...
Oct. 18th, 2009 06:35 pmWe just got back from dinner at Claim Jumper.
It was so good, but I'm so stuffed right now. I feel like I never want to eat again.
I ordered the whiskey chicken (small portion). It was chicken smothered in sweet whiskey-apple sauce, served on top of apple stuffing. Had a side of mashed potatoes and gravy, a biscuit, and roasted veggies (mostly carrots and zucchini).
I didn't eat it all. I wanted to, believe me. It was just impossible. I asked our waitress what the large portion was like, and she said it was twice as much chicken. Damn. I had 4 ounces, and that was plenty.
Lance just had a cheeseburger and fries. He had less food than I did.
We shared a dessert (they have small desserts and desserts made for sharing). Lance wanted the chocolate cream cheese pie with Oreo crust, so that's what we ordered and it was HUGE. That's what set us both over the edge.
I wonder if I can replicate that whiskey chicken here at home. That was just so freaking good.
