If you're a residential service provider, such as an exterminator, it would be courteous to let us know in advance that you're planning to stop by and spray for bugs. See, as a woman, I have enough common sense not to answer the door when I'm home alone unless I'm expecting someone or something. You could be, I don't know, a rapist or serial killer or something. Hence, I do not answer the door, and you'll likely hear my dog howling and barking like she wants to rip out your throat.

Such was the case this morning, and when Lance stopped by for a few minutes at 11, he saw the note they left on the door. They sprayed the front of the house (in the rain, no less), but not that back, because they did not have access to the back. I have to let them into the backyard.

So now they're coming back this afternoon, at a time to be determined. Because I have nothing better to do than wait for the goddamn exterminator. I had my whole schedule for this afternoon planned out, including a trip to the library and post office, and now I'm forced to stay at home because the pest control company will get here when they get here. They'll probably interrupt my afternoon writing session.

Note to pest control company - CALL FIRST! Now you have to come back a 2nd time in one day. You have already ruined my afternoon, which barely started, and you'll be traumatizing the dog for a 2nd time today. And you have wasted your own time. Well done.

At least Lance went to the post office for me. The library book will have to wait until another day.

ETA: Shockingly enough, they came early. They're done and now I can get on with my afternoon.
