Thanks, Leslie. :) I appreciate the V-Gift.

It's really freaking cold today. Of course, it's in the upper 20s, which might not be that cold to some people. But I'm a total wuss when it comes to the cold. I hate the cold. And thus, I don't believe I will be walking Reece today or any day within the immediate future. It's not supposed to get back in the 40s until later this week.

I took her on a short walk yesterday when it was 32 degrees. I bundled up and everything. But it was breezy, so the wind cut right through everything.

I really hope we get stationed somewhere in the South after this. I know Lance hates the heat, but I honestly think it's great that I can wear shorts in February if I want to. I have no problem with that.

It dropped down to the 50s a few days ago...for a few days. Today...its 79. Come to Florida my friend! :)

Well, you know since you've lived here that winters aren't generally that bad. Temps usually stay above freezing (at least during the day). It just rains and it's dark a lot of the time.

I can tolerate a normal winter here reasonably well.

But these temperatures are hardly normal. And last winter was an anomaly too. I'm starting to see a trend here that I don't like.

Florida sounds really good.

Ugh. I'm not a huge fan of the cold, but I will take a Seattle winter any day over a Southern summer. The heat is bad enough, but top that off with complete humidity saturation and you feel like you're wading. Though those of us in this part of Virginia don't consider ourselves Southerners in any sort of way, we still get the Southern climate. I'm trying to get out. I actually wouldn't mind living in Seattle. At least there would be a reason for the constant rain.

Seattle winters usually aren't this cold. Temps are normally above freezing (30s/40s) during the day. Snow is rare. It rains a lot in the winter and there is often fog that stays around for days. It can be very depressing since it's dark a lot of the time.

I can deal with a normal winter here (because it's almost exactly like the winters where we lived in Germany, so I'm used to it). Winter here is so much better than a Midwest winter.

But right now, we're having Midwest weather, and it SUCKS! They're throwing snow into the mix within the next few days. I cannot deal with the cold.

I'm not a huge fan of extreme heat either, but I deal with it much better than I do the cold.
