Seven Things About Me (and then some)
Sep. 1st, 2007 01:35 pmI was tagged for this by

A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it."
1. I always judge a book by its cover. Horrible, I know. But if the cover of the book is boring or ugly, I am less likely to pick it up. (Just to clarify, this is not a metaphor for people...I really am talking about books and only books.)
2. I eat my cantaloupe with a sprinkling of pepper. It seemed weird when I was a kid, but considering the trend to wrap prosciutto around melon, it doesn't seem that weird now (I got that habit from my dad).
3. My drink of choice with buttered popcorn is orange juice. This always grosses people out, but I love the combination of salty/buttery and citrus. I actually talked a relative into trying this once, and she agreed it was good.
4. I have an unhealthy obsession with spiders. I'm always scanning the corners and around the perimeters of the inside of the house, looking for spiders that might be lurking around…or cobwebs. I'm constantly fighting off spiders that are encroaching on the areas around the windows and doors on the outside of the house.
5. I can't eat anything that looks up at me from the plate. Fish must be filleted. Shrimp must not have heads. They had roast suckling pig on the cruise, and it literally was an entire pig sitting on the carving board. It nauseated me to look at it.
6. I can't eat food that squirts when I bite into it. Corn on the cob is the primary example of this. I hate getting my face messy when I eat (or ever…come to think of it).
7. Clutter and excess make me uncomfortable. At least twice a year, I go through my closet and toss out anything that doesn't fit or that's damaged (which is why I had to get a brand new wardrobe after I lost weight…I had gotten rid of my "skinny" clothes. Now I'm getting rid of my "fat" clothes). I often get rid of other things too…paring down makes me feel better. The only exception to this is books…if I don't have several unread books on hand at all times, I'm not happy. I constantly need to have things to read, and I'm happiest when I have a lot of books around me.
Okay...I guess I tag:
navygreen,
queendisko,
thespis_mellie,
katzies,
knightchik,
godchick and
heartsinarmor...unless those of you I tagged have already done it.
( I'm on a roll, so I'll add a few more )
