I got some honest to goodness sleep last night. FINALLY!!! And for the first time, I had a dream that took place in Seattle. Although oddly enough, my dream also featured a rather interesting bloke I knew in grad school, whom I haven't really thought about in a very long time. Strange. Apparently, this man lurks somewhere in my subconscious.

Anyway...

Had a busy morning. Ran a ton of errands, including returning books to the library (closed today, so I had to use the drop box, and it took FOREVER to find a place to park just for something that took 2 minutes...frustrating), picking up a prescription refill, and mailing two packages, one of which is winging its way to Guam, the other to Ohio.

I also squeezed in a short workout. Sadly, my workouts have been much shorter lately. And I hate that. But there is so much to do and I am compensating somewhat with all the heavy lifting and dragging boxes around and all the general movement that I've been doing much more of lately. Not to mention, loss of appetite. My nerves are shot and it makes me not want to eat. And that keeps the weight off too, although not in a good way. (In fact, I should be eating lunch at the moment, but the thought of food is absolutely unappealing to me. I am making tacos tonight though, because Lance has been whistling the "Mexican Hat Dance," his subtle hint that I need to make tacos.)

Lance is supposed to be coming home early so he can get some moving-related stuff done. Most of the things that are left to do are in his area of experience...not mine. I actually expected him home by now, so I'm surprised that he hasn't managed to sneak out of work yet (it's not really sneaking out...everyone knows about it, and they're surprised that he actually came into work at all).

We're delivering a piece of furniture to one of his co-workers tonight. I'm really looking forward to trying to lift and carry those two heavy and cumbersome pieces and putting them into his truck. :P But at least that's the worst of the heavy lifting I'll have to do. I think.

Tomorrow I drop off unsold Park & Sell stuff to the thrift store. And I am dropping off all those bags of clothes. My to-do list this week consists mostly of driving all over creation, getting rid of things. I hope to squeeze in a lunch with Andrea on Wednesday. I need a moment of calm in a world of chaos. Besides, I haven't had chinese food in awhile. I also have book club on my calendar for tomorrow night. I AM going. I made sure it was okay with Lance first, because I didn't want to blow off any important things that needed doing. But he said it should be fine.

I have one more trip planned before I go, and that's to see the DaVinci Expo in Brussels. Andrea signed up, and she asked me the other day if I was interested in going. It's funny, because I was going to ask her the same thing. So when I'm running around tomorrow, I'll stop and register for this trip. And that should be the last of it. Hopefully, that goes well, because the trip to Venice left a lot to be desired, and I don't want to have bad memories of my last trip while we lived here in Europe. That would be sad.

I am really hoping I have the energy to get through this week. Please please please.

And now I guess I'll go downstairs and dig around for sustenance, although the only thing that seems edible to me right now is a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios.

So I've spent my afternoon in the kitchen, pulling out all the stuff that can be packed up on Thursday. I've had my headphones on, listening to Celtic music.

Periodically, Lance comes up from the basement, and breaks out into a very horrible jig in the middle of the kitchen.

I can't stop laughing. I'm doubled over...laughing so hard that I'm snorting. And all that does is egg him on even more.

DAMMIT! I'M TRYING TO WORK!!

In other news, we found a really fantastic house today, and I am really excited about it. The kitchen is kind of small, but it's cute. The rest of the house is really great. The deck at the back of the house is a thing of wonder. It's GINORMOUS and has multiple levels and...well, it's just fabulous. And the yard is about half an acre and backs up partially into green space. Plenty of room for the dog(s) to run.

And the house is a very cheerful yellow, unlike many of the bland houses we've been seeing. Seattle is cloudy and rainy...why not have a sunny yellow house?

The price is just shy of our maximum...which doesn't thrill me. But if we love the house in person when we go to see it, that might not matter so much.
