- I think Lance and I are going to stop getting pizza from Papa Murphy's. It is the greasiest pizza I have ever eaten in my life. I wasn't feeling well yesterday anyway (and still not great today), but eating all that grease didn't do anything to help me feel better. And Lance was feeling really awful after eating it too, although he wants to blame the sauce and not the ridiculous amounts of cheese. But the sauce is also very oily and acidic, so he could be right. Anyway, I told him if we decide to get pizza there again, it will be the De-Lite pizza, which is a lot less oily.

- I put gas in my car for the first time in a month. And it was just under half a tank at the time. I love my car. LOVE. Of course, it helps that I don't drive it much...you know, not really having many reasons to leave the house and all...

- We watched some military movie last night from the 80's...they kept pronouncing Ramstein "Ram-steen". I giggled every single time. It was ridiculous. I have no idea what movie it was. Lance had it on in our bedroom when I came in to lay down.

- I have to drive to McChord today to go grocery shopping. This will be the first time I've gone down there by myself. I just hope the traffic is flowing pretty well.

- I responded to a job listing that pays writers for blogging. They sent me an application to fill out, but if they accept me, I'll be blogging about budget travel and getting paid for it. It's pocket change, really, but that's really the only reason why I freelanced in the first place. I never tried to make a living off it (and it's really hard to do that anyway), but if it gave me some spending money, then great.

- I signed up to join the Seattle Writergrrls - a freelance network. But I'm not sure if they're even still active. The news and events sections of their website are dated 2006.

- Stephen Colbert and John Legend duet on The Colbert Report = so much win. At first it was weird, and then it was just funny ("I will kick your prom king ass!"). Don't quit your day job, Stephen.

On Monday, I go back on my plan. It's easier to eat well when I'm only fending for myself. Lance is a horrible influence on my diet, and being back in the land of endless fast food certainly doesn't help matters any. Not a day goes by that he doesn't want to stop at DQ for a blizzard or some such thing. Fortunately, I haven't gained more than a few pounds, but I'm also really out of shape. Spinning was so great for me and now I'm suffering because I can't do the classes anymore. And I can't take it up again until I can afford to join a gym. Fortunately, there are great walking trails around here, many of which have nice uphill climbs, so I can find other ways to whip myself back into shape. (I'm still using my fitness DVDs here at home, but they're not all that great.)

So I just got back from the commissary, where I filled up the cart with a lot of fresh produce (something I hardly ever buy when I shop with Lance because he doesn't eat fresh produce and it makes our grocery bill that much more expensive)...I hardly eat meat when Lance isn't here. I just bought some chicken breasts and some fish fillets...probably 1/3 of the meat we normally buy. Frozen fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese, pasta, pita bread, sundried tomatoes...I have no specific meals in mind but plenty of stuff to work with.

Came home to a blinking answering machine. How silly of me to think that it might be someone calling me to schedule a job interview. Much to my great consternation, it was an automated message from Target pharmacy telling me that my prescriptions are ready for pick up.

Anyway...I had a notice that someone left a comment on Itinerant Writer, and it was an invitation from a random local inviting me to join a new professional writers' club here in Kent. They meet the fourth Wednesday of every month at the library. So I signed up for that. That came at a good time, since I'm working on networking and meeting up with people who share common interests.

Lance just got sent home from work to spend more time with me before he leaves on Sunday, so I suppose I should log off and go spend time with him!

Looks like I'm getting another job interview. Hopefully next week.

Got a phone call which ended up being a preliminary phone interview. I have a survey and some typing tests in my email which need to be completed by tomorrow afternoon. Then an in-person interview is going to be scheduled.

I just applied for this job yesterday morning, so the quick response is awesome.

The pay isn't bad and I've done this type of work before (call center customer service), but I would have to commute to Tacoma, so the decision will most likely be based on whether that will be worth it when factoring in the cost of gas. The hours are awesome...it's day shift Monday through Friday, so I would have weekends off. And I'm very very familiar with the company, as I am a client of this company myself, and I believe that will be what helps me get this job (also, because I'm a military spouse, which is why I also happen to be a client).

Anyway, I have a good feeling about it. But again, being deliberately vague here, as I'm not wanting to jinx things.
