Early morning this morning. Up at 4:30, and to bed late last night. So with daylight savings, I think we got about 4 hours of sleep.

Lance got to the airport. I went in with him, but only long enough to watch him check in and go through security. He didn't want me to pay too much for parking. As it was, I paid $2 for 20 minutes.

But I made it home around 6:30. He left a text message on my phone while I was driving home to tell me that he loved me.

He should be arriving in Denver soon. I expect a call from him then. (EDIT: He texted me. He got there.)

I hate that I'm going to be alone for the next 1-2 months. It would be easier if I had productive ways to spend my time. Right now, all I have is a lot of books to read, a lot of movies to watch, and a lot of networking and research to try and do to get into my desired profession. And I have to do some preparation for my upcoming job interviews.

Yay for free Wi-Fi at the Denver airport! Lance texted me to tell me he was on Yahoo and then we were able to talk (I realize he could've called me on the cellphone too, but I think he was just giddy about the free internet, so why not indulge him?).

He just left to go and walk around a bit and stretch his legs. And he needs to get something to eat. He's been sick to his stomach since after dinner last night and isn't feeling too great today, but he's going to still try and get some sustenance.

As for me, I have to get to Target and pick up my prescriptions so they stop calling me daily to remind me. And I think I'll take a little drive out to Renton and scope out where my job interview will be on Tuesday. I know approximately where it is, since it's right down the road from where I've been doing that temp job, but since it's an industrial park and there are a lot of buildings, I want to know ahead of time where it is and not be frantically searching for it on Tuesday afternoon when time is of the essence.

I sold a book I listed on amazon.com last night (only 2 more to sell, but as they are rather obscure and not popular fiction, I doubt they will sell), so I have now made back half the amount I spent last night on books. Hehe. And this book I'm reading now will be listed as soon as I'm done and write up the review. I like being a book reviewer...I get the books for free, but if I don't think I'll re-read them, I can sell them on amazon and make a little pocket change. I did that too when I was in grad school and we always got free sample copies of textbooks, which I would then turn around and sell for $50.

Lance and I have been following the Boeing/Air Force/tanker contract controversy over the past week or so with no small amount of interest. Lance had nothing to do with the tanker contract, by the way (in case anyone was wondering...my brother asked)...his particular affiliation with Boeing has more to do with AWACS than tankers. But anyway, this story came out this morning, and Lance and I found it interesting. Never thought this could potentially affect the outcome of the presidential election, but I understand why. Boeing is really truly super pissed off, and they want heads to roll. But hey, if there is even the slightest possibility that it could help swing the election in favor of the Democrats...I'm not complaining.

Starving!

OMG...MUST. EAT.

I woke up late (since I went back to bed after taking Lance to the airport), so I had a late breakfast. Skipped lunch entirely, except for eating one of those Slim Fast meal bars. Those are supposed to keep you full for up to 4 hours.

Yeah, not so much.

Anyway, dinner is in the oven now. Garlic Baked Mushrooms with rolls (to sop up the juices) and a light Caesar salad. Yum. I love eating veggie when Lance isn't here. I just had some Babybel cheese too since my stomach will not stop growling.

Checked in with the Ohio contingent and they are all well despite the Apocalyptic Blizzard of Doom. My mom actually called to check up on me, and I told her that I'm fine...but to call back in a week and see if I'm still fine, since Lance and I both know that this deployment is going to suck.

I was out this afternoon. Picked up prescriptions at Target, stopped by Hollywood video to pick up a couple of movies - Elizabeth: The Golden Age and La Vie En Rose - and scoped out where my job interview is on Tuesday. Was pleased to see very few cars parked outside the building, so hopefully that means that they don't have weekend shifts there.

Took a walk, since it's about 60 degrees outside. It's cloudy, but it's not rainy and I won't complain about the weather in the slightest.

Now I'm waiting for Lance to call. He texted me about an hour ago to tell me that he had arrived and that he would call me when he got settled in at Tinker.

Guess I should go get rolls in the oven.

Thanks to those of you who added me on LinkedIn.
