I have Terro ant baits.

I know I said I didn't want poison, but this poison is at least contained. I just had a problem spraying any around the inside of the house. And even the outdoors, to some extent, because I'm really trying my best to go more green these days.

Anyway, the ants are swarming them, and I hopefully nipped this problem in the bud. These are the most ants I've seen since I started noticing them, but they seem to be running from underneath the dishwasher directly into the bait, and then back under the dishwasher again. And that's okay with me, as long as they're not running all over the floor.

Hopefully they are taking the poison back and killing all their friends.

After I run out of Terro, I'm going to try mixing peppermint oil and water, since ants apparently have an aversion to peppermint. I just need to find peppermint oil first. I would've looked for it today, but it could've taken ages, and time is of the essence here. I'm trying to stop this problem before it gets out of hand.

It's been a good, productive day. Even though I have sometimes felt really tired today, I fought it off and managed to get a lot done.

I just wish the barista at Starbucks hadn't asked me about Easter. She was just being nice and making conversation. But I had to tell her that I was going to be alone and I just don't want to think about it, really.

I should go do something good for myself on Sunday, but I don't know what. Maybe I'll take myself out to breakfast...but just not at any of the places that are serving a special Easter brunch. I'll take a book and read for a bit. And later, there will be wine. Oh yes. And chocolate bunnies.
