It's official. My parents booked their plane tickets and THEY'RE REALLY REALLY COMING!!

YAY!!!!!!

I looked into using my reward miles, but for starters, I would've only been able to get one of them here for free with my miles. It would've been about $400 for the other ticket. And while that was about $100 cheaper than the flights they booked, they thought it was worth it to pay more and actually be able to arrive here late on Wednesday night instead of on Thursday morning.

So we'll have all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday together. They leave late Sunday night and take the red-eye back to Ohio, and will have all day Monday back in Ohio to rest.

In other news, it was SO HARD to get out of bed this morning. I woke up about an hour before the alarm (been doing that most mornings, actually), and dozed off and on until a couple minutes before my alarm was supposed to go off. It was so warm and cozy this morning...I was loathe to get up.

But, I have to earn my living like everyone else. And the further I progress with this week, the closer I get to having Lance home. He is supposed to be back on Thursday.

So I shadowed a Human Resources Rep. today. We had to call on a client in downtown Seattle. When we reached the office building, I was reading the list of occupants that was posted outside.

Shelfari was in this building.

I interviewed with them for a job back at the end of November, just before we left Germany. Obviously, the interview (done by phone) didn't go well.

But still, I saw their name. I giggled. And then I explained what I thought was so funny.

The HR person said, "perhaps we should stop by and ask them if they are in need of payroll services."

AHAHAHAHA. That would've been funny. Tempting...but we didn't do it.

Anyway, I had a blast with her today. And she took me out to lunch at a place I haven't tried before - Galliano's Cucina. We each ordered half a club sandwich with the soup of the day (chicken noodle), and half a sandwich is absolutely massive. I'm about to eat half of my half sandwich for dinner, along with some baked beans. Lance wants to go to this place now...they have pasta and pizza too.
