Seattle - Smaller Than You Think
Apr. 21st, 2008 06:33 pmSo I shadowed a Human Resources Rep. today. We had to call on a client in downtown Seattle. When we reached the office building, I was reading the list of occupants that was posted outside.
Shelfari was in this building.
I interviewed with them for a job back at the end of November, just before we left Germany. Obviously, the interview (done by phone) didn't go well.
But still, I saw their name. I giggled. And then I explained what I thought was so funny.
The HR person said, "perhaps we should stop by and ask them if they are in need of payroll services."
AHAHAHAHA. That would've been funny. Tempting...but we didn't do it.
Anyway, I had a blast with her today. And she took me out to lunch at a place I haven't tried before - Galliano's Cucina. We each ordered half a club sandwich with the soup of the day (chicken noodle), and half a sandwich is absolutely massive. I'm about to eat half of my half sandwich for dinner, along with some baked beans. Lance wants to go to this place now...they have pasta and pizza too.
