Neither Lance nor I want to go to work tomorrow. But I suppose everyone feels that way.

Another nice day today...not super warm, but pleasant enough for awhile to be out without a jacket.

We were mostly lazy today. We went out around lunch so Lance could browse around in the Mac Store. We stopped at Arby's for lunch on the way there. He didn't spend much time looking at MacBooks...he decided that the best deal is at McChord, so he'll get one there next time we do our grocery shopping.

After that we went to Payless, where we each got a pair of shoes. And they were buy one, get one half off.

Then we stopped at the grocery store so I could get some salads for my lunches this week. Got a container of Greek pasta salad and a container of Tabbouleh.

We grilled out again tonight. I had a pork tenderloin marinating in the fridge (I marinated it in a blend of toasted asian sesame dressing, teriyaki marinade, garlic and ginger). So Lance offered to grill burger patties and the tenderloin all at once, so we could have a burger encore tonight and the tenderloin for dinner tomorrow. So that's what we did. So all I have to do tomorrow when I get home from work is make some rice, cook some veggies, and reheat the tenderloin. It turned out really nice.

This is the 3rd time I've grilled tenderloin (Lance grilled the burgers and I took over the tenderloin duties) and each time it's turned out great, so I think it'll be really good.

I took Reece out for a walk earlier. She is slowly getting better at being walked. And I found that the best way to keep her from grabbing her leash while we walk is to find a stick for her to keep in her mouth. We played with her a bit in the backyard too and she spent a lot of time digging in the mulch out back (she has particular spots where she likes to dig...we're trying to stop this behavior, but finding it difficult to do). Right now she is sleeping peacefully on the couch, but I have no doubt that she will get a burst of energy around 9:30 or so tonight. She usually does and then it takes awhile to calm her down and get her crated so we can go to bed.

Our electricity is being shut off for 6.5 hours on Wednesday. We're trying to figure out what to do about it, but I think the only thing we can do is stick all perishables in every cooler we have and keep them in ice. And we're going to try to get Reece in doggie daycare. Lance will probably not be able to make it home for lunch that day.

YAY!!!

I'm going to Ohio over 4th of July weekend.

Granted, it will be murder on me: the red-eye from Seattle to Cleveland overnight Thursday/Friday. Two hour layover in Cleveland. Very short flight to Columbus, arriving there around 9:30 AM.

Then about 50 hours there before I have to turn around and come back here. I'll be getting back into Seattle around dinnertime on Sunday. Laying over in Houston on the way back. Trying to give myself time so if flights are delayed/cancelled, I hopefully won't get back too late.

I won't even have enough time to get acclimated to Eastern Standard Time.

But I used my frequent flyer miles for this trip and it only cost me $10, so I'm not complaining. I just really need to see my family. And I could save my frequent flyer miles for another time, but why should I?

Uh Oh...

Puppy's tummy is awfully grumbly.

I really hope that's why she's now hovering over the food dish, and not a sign of impending gastrointestinal ick.
