After a dry spell that lasted several days, it was weird to come out of the commissary and see rain. But you know...it's making me want to nap. And napping is a decadent thing for me these days. Not so bad.

Reece is in day camp again. Lance has a bit of spackling and priming to take care of this afternoon. I don't have a whole lot on my plate right now. We finished our grocery shopping. I put all the groceries away.

Last night I curled up on the couch with Reece and watched Possession. I was trying to find a romantic movie that hit all the right notes for what I was feeling last night. That one did it. I had only seen the movie once before, when I checked it out at the library in Brunssum. Then I bought it. And I watched it last night for the first time in about 4 years or so. The movie primarily takes place in Lincoln, London and Whitby, so it was nice to retrace my steps through that film. It's a pretty damn cool thing to watch a movie and be familiar with almost every place in it.

I just have the overwhelming urge to sleep right now. And so I shall.

It's time to start transitioning Reece out of her puppy formula and into some adult dog food. I can't even believe I'm typing that. It doesn't seem like she could be old enough for this yet.

Anyway, she doesn't really eat her puppy food anymore. She's either bored with it, or decided altogether that she just doesn't like it. While we were at the commissary today, we looked at some other options. I think part of the reason why she doesn't eat much, and that she throws up so much, is that she has a sensitive tummy. So we bought some Nutro Chicken and Rice formula, which is made especially for sensitive stomachs. We got a small bag in case she doesn't like it (after all, her puppy formula is Nutro brand and she doesn't eat that anymore unless I doctor it up with additives).

Before we picked her up at Petsmart, we stopped at Mud Bay and picked up several samples of dog food that are good for sensitive stomachs. I think they gave us 6 samples, all for brands that you can't really find at major pet retailers. So we'll be trying those out to see which ones she likes.

Once we got her home, we tried out the new Nutro and a sample of one of the other brands. She liked them both and completely inhaled them. Then Lance filled her dish with her normal puppy food. She turned up her nose at it. Absolutely refuses to eat it.

It was funny, but when she came out of the kennel area at Petsmart and was handed over to us, she immediately stuck her face into their treat dish and started scarfing down treats like they were food. I pulled her away from it. She apparently made a friend of a very shy Great Dane today, and now they're thick as thieves together. The Petsmart crew joked that he is Reece's new boyfriend, only just her weekend fling. She has another boyfriend for weekday camp - his name is Baxter. Little tramp. HAHAHAHA.
