Reece was supposed to go to daycamp today, but she's not. Because her left eye is oozing and I have to keep wiping huge gobs of mucus from both corners. She seems perfectly healthy otherwise, but just in case this is contagious, I'm keeping her home. It's better than them putting her in isolation there because of it. Her eye was really red and angry looking yesterday, so I thought it might be pink eye (dogs can get that, right?)...today it looks clear, but it's oozing more. So we'll probably have to schedule a vet visit for this evening or tomorrow morning. I'm trying not to change my plans otherwise.

Poor Munchy. I wonder where she would've gotten this. She hasn't had any contact with other dogs since she went to camp on Monday.

I get off at noon and Lance and I have to run down to the base so I can renew my military ID. It expires in a month. So that's our grand plan for this afternoon. If possible, I want to get Reece into the vet tonight, so I can sleep in for a change tomorrow morning.

Then, at 11:45 tomorrow morning, I will go pick up Kathy. We'll have lunch at Panera (I can use my gift card) and then...GLASS FUSING! Hooray! I already know that I'm going to make jewelry. I don't know what Kathy plans to make, but she said before that their nightlights look really cool. I would like to do more than one class so I can also make a set of coasters.

I got a catalog from Chukar Cherries yesterday. I entered a drawing with them at Pike Place Market to win some sort of gift certificate or something. Well, I don't think I won, but I got a catalog, and I'm thinking that one of their gift sets would be a good idea for Grandma's birthday next month. They have a nice Seattle-themed box filled with 4 types of their chocolate cherries, with a jar of their pecan cherry popcorn included. I think she would like that. The woman already has everything she could possibly need, so food gifts are always a winner.

So...Lance and I went to McChord to renew my military ID.

Which expires again in September. *rolls eyes*

Because he's up for re-enlistment then. And...if he gets promoted this year? Another ID when he puts on his new rank. This means possibly 3 new ID cards in about a year.

Crazy.

And I thought my ID photo turned out really well today. Too bad they can't use it on the next one.

ETA: No, you don't have to get it renewed for a promotion. But my last ID was renewed at the same time Lance got promoted, so perhaps that's where that train of thought came from.

It's beautiful and sunny right now - hovering somewhere between 55 and 60 degrees. I should be out enjoying it, but I just want a nap.

Reece's eye is better, by the way. I'm not concerned enough about it at the moment to schedule a vet appointment, but I'll just keep watching it.
