(no subject)

It's raining again today - off and on - but it's that gentle rain that smells of spring. I don't mind it. It's sunny right now, but it was sunny about 20 minutes ago and then it rained again.

Reece got a bath this morning. I've spent a good chunk of the day cleaning and doing laundry. I ran out to the post office, stopped at JoAnn Fabrics and Walgreens to take care of some errands. Squeezed a nap in there too, although it wasn't any longer than an hour.

I still have a bit more cleaning to do and then I need to get started on the freelance project. I need to do 5 titles and turn them in to the editor before I can proceed with more. This is kind of like an audition, I guess. I'm going through and finding some good databases to look up book info. I generally use amazon for such things (when I write my reviews for curledup.com), but now I'm looking at WorldCat and I like it. I bookmarked the Internet Book List too. If anyone else has a good suggestion for a book/publisher/author database that I can consult, please let me know.

New Freelance Job

It took me well over an hour to do the first entry, since I had to play around with the database and figure out how it worked.

But by gosh...I think I've got it! I've been sitting here happily working away for nearly 2 hours. Reece finally got fed up with being shut out of the bedroom and scratched and cried at the door. I let her in and she's now lying on the bed next to me while I work. She's quite peaceful, so she's not bothering me at all.
