I'm now developing quite the set-up here at home for my lattes and stuff. I made a cinnamon latte for myself this morning. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Vanilla is my usual, but I saw the cinnamon extract and just had to try it.

So good.

I make good mochas too.

This has now become a Sunday morning ritual. I make myself a latte and sit on the couch with my laptop, browsing email, Facebook, LJ and the various blogs/feeds that I read. It's a nice quiet way to spend a morning.

It's sunny today. I'll feel guilty if I don't get Reece out for a walk, but I also have a lot of stuff that needs doing. Have 3 more titles to finish today because I want to get my first 5 turned in to the editor by tomorrow (do you even have any idea how thrilled I am to say that again?), need to do laundry, vacuum, do some cleaning and wash Reece's nose prints off the windows.

Tomorrow is, of course, Monday...but even that doesn't seem so unbearable to me as it did a week ago. Again, it's because I now have options. And I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from me. As Kathy said on my Facebook, "happy times are here!" And yes, I feel that they are. I've clawed my way out of darkness and I'm basking in the light. And it feels really damn good.

Lance and I were cleaning the house, it's a bright, sunny day, and it occurred to me that on a Sunday morning, the park just a few houses down might be abandoned.

So we took Reece, a Chuckit! and 2 balls out to the park. As I figured, it was completely empty. We let her off the leash and spent the next 15-20 minutes throwing the ball as far as we could throw it. She took off like a shot after every one of them, but lost track of the balls a couple of times and came back without them.

It wasn't long before she started showing signs of dehydration (I forgot to bring her water bottle), so we went home. At least we live close by. The park is about a 1 minute walk from our house.

She has now gotten her fill of water, and is collapsed in a heap on the couch.

Awesome!

Hollywood Video called out of the blue. I was a bit scared, frankly, because even though I didn't have any deliquent movies or anything, I thought they were going to mistakenly accuse me of such. I couldn't figure out any other reason for them to call.

Basically though, they haven't seen me in awhile. And because they want to lure me back, they are offering me a free movie rental if I come in sometime this week.

Sweet!

I am picking up The Reader. I've been so anxious to see it.

I had a coupon for some of that chicken that already comes marinaded (Foster Farms Savory Servings). I don't generally buy that, because I like to control what's on the chicken, whether it's seasoning or marinade. But every once in awhile, I'll get a $1 off coupon for the marinaded stuff, so I get that, since it ends up being cheaper than the plain chicken.

Anyway, I picked the Island Teriyaki flavor. They recommend grilling it, but Lance was working on organizing the office and I didn't feel like firing up the outdoor grill, so I made it in a grill pan on the stove.

Oh my God. It was sooooooooooooo good. I made Uncle Ben's Roasted Chicken & Herb Long Grain and Wild Rice with it, and some mixed veggies. Good dinner.

I think I may get that chicken again. We had three really large chicken breast fillets and the two of us split one, so we still have plenty left over. Good for at least one more meal this week.
