It's a Monday, and I'm not at work. :) And it's a crazy busy day at work too...I had 61 calls on my schedule. I hate days like that. But it's not my problem today, thankfully. I kind of feel bad for my buddies who have to cover my schedule, though.

Next Tuesday will probably be busy like that, and then I won't have to deal with it ever again.

Anyway...I'm having a lazy Monday here at home. Lowe's will be here to deliver our front door at around 10:30 or so. Lance is supposed to come home. And then we'll paint it. That shouldn't take too long, but then we have to let it dry and probably apply a second coat.

I turned in my first 30 titles to the editor. He sent me another 30. After I finish this 30, I will start doing 80 per week. I had to go over my first 30 before I turned them in and make sure all the entries were complete. I'm glad I did. I forgot to save the publisher information on several entries, so I had to re-enter it. I would rather catch that mistake before the editor does.

Oh...I forgot to mention that yesterday at the nursery, I bought these:

I think it's a genius idea. What a great way to recycle wine bottles! I don't really have any house plants I can use these for, but they will come in handy during our dry season (right around July through October) out in the garden. Or, if nothing else, I can give this as a gift to someone who has large houseplants. I can't have large houseplants because Reece will destroy them.

Our new front door is now installed. It still needs to be painted yet, but we're painting it exactly the same color as the primer, so it looks no different now than it will after we paint it.

So...I have before and after photos )

I doubt I'll update much. I'm mainly trying to use it to call attention to my writing that will be posted online, via blog or some other means.

Someone from the Seattle Times is already following me. This bodes well.
