(no subject)

We finally got rain! 30 day dry spell is over!

I'm so relieved. The rain started sometime between 12:30-1:30 this morning. I know because I let Reece out around 12:30 or so, and no rain. She got me up again an hour later and it was raining. She also got me up when Lance got up at 3:30.

Sooooo tired. But I was wide awake at 7 and couldn't fall back asleep. She is, however, curled up on the couch, napping. Grrrrr.

I have a haircut scheduled for today. Looking forward to that. My hair has gotten so long and it drives me nuts! I can almost pull it back in a ponytail now, but the fact that I can't is what bugs me. I don't like having hair in my face and on my neck. So back to a shorter bob. That always works better for summer anyway.

I started reading The Devlin Diary last night. Already, I am completely riveted. I read almost 50 pages last night and didn't want to put it down, but the need for sleep overpowered me. God, how I love historical fiction!

Writing - good stuff...finally!

I've been kind of pissy this week because the freelance leads I've been finding have been pretty lame. Today, however, there were some pretty good ones. Some of them that promise steady work. So I applied for 4 different gigs today. Fingers crossed that at least one of them comes through for me. Fingers also crossed that my bullshit detector hasn't failed me this time, and that these are all legit.
