emtqueen85 for the polar bear V-Gift. So cute! :)
The commissary was a nightmare today. At least we got our shopping done, and we shouldn't have to go back until New Year's weekend. The last thing I want to do after we return from our trip to Minnesota is head to the store. I want to ensure that all we will need to do is pick up some milk and maybe a few other things, and we'll be good.
I just made Krispie treats. I was feeling a bit inspired by the comments I got on my Krispie treats post yesterday. I did them in my own way, but definitely got some good ideas.
I haven't tried these yet, but this is what I did:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup peanut butter (I used smooth, because that was all I had)
1 cup white chocolate chips
4 cups mini marshmallows
I melted all that together in my large pot on low heat. When everything was melted, I took the pot off the heat and added:
1 cup M&Ms
4 cups Rice Krispies
Then I spread the mixture into a greased 9x13 pan. It spread into the pan easily with my hands...I didn't need a spatula or anything.
So I'll let the pan hang out in the fridge for a bit and cool. And we'll see if these end up being any good or not, but I can't imagine they could be bad.
I have to make out Christmas cards today. And other than that and cleaning the kitchen and making a quick dinner (apple and gouda sausages and sweet potato bake), I don't have much else to do. I will have free time tonight to read or watch a movie. :) Except Lance will be watching football, so I may have to watch a movie on my computer. This is why I wanted to have a DVD player for our bedroom.
