Trees came down over railway lines and some major roads were blocked by overturned trucks, but it wasn't too bad. The managing director of Birmingham International Airport (my local) was killed when a branch fell on his car.

But it wasn't really that bad. Apparently you, and possibly Poland, got the worst of it.
