Lost in Translation

I often have to use the "translate this page" feature that Google offers for web searching. When I do, it often has funny results, particularly when it translates the names of German towns.

For example: Fuessen is "feet" in all the translations. Which makes sense to me, actually.

And there is apparently a town called "Upper Baptism," but I'm not quite sure what the German name is.

Ah, it's Oberstaufen.

Wertach translates into "Value oh."

Of course, the town of Geilenkirchen translates roughly into "Horny Church." And the mayor's last name - Borghorst - is translated by Google into "Borrowing Refuge."

AHAHAHAHAHA!

I love it.

I get so easily distracted. *sigh* Back to work.
