R.I.P. Scratchy
Sep. 29th, 2007 09:33 pmScratchy is dead. The wee beastie that has terrorized us from the attic is now ensnared in the mouse trap that Lance set up. He found him when he went up to the attic to adjust the satellite dish.
So Scratchy was a mouse. But he made a lot of noise for something so small.
Lance will dispose of him tomorrow. For now, he lingers in his peanut buttered death trap.

We've had a richly deserved day of laziness. I even prepared a lazy dinner. I just made up a plate of cold smoked sausage, crackers and cheese. I didn't feel like fussing. Lance didn't seem to mind. That is one of his favorite dinners anyway.
We just finished watching Down With Love, since Lance said it was my turn to select a movie this evening. He didn't hate it. In fact, he laughed a lot, so he must have enjoyed it some, which makes me happy.
We talked to my mom and Rob earlier, and Lance and Rob were doing the smack talk about tonight's game (OSU is heavily favored to win, but Lance isn't concerned about it). He played the Gophers fight song on his computer, and held the phone up to the speaker while he was talking to Rob. So when he walked away and went into our bedroom with the phone, I cranked up the OSU fight song from my computer. HAHAHAHA.
Anyway, we have television reception back (we haven't had it in 7-8 months...Lance got sick of going up to the attic every time the wind blew the dish out of place) so we can watch the game. I may need to go to bed here soon and get a little more sleep. I slept for about 2 hours this afternoon. Then I can be up at 2 AM for the game.
I did some work today as far as getting the house back in order. The guest bed has been stripped and the bedding laundered. I'm not bothering to make that bed up again since we pack out in a couple of weeks anyway. That bed doesn't get used much when we don't have guests...only when one of us is sick or Lance snores too much and I kick him out of bed. Tomorrow I should do some dusting. And we need to buy groceries. I have several meals in the freezer right now, and we should grill our hamburger patties this week, but I need a few more things.
I already downloaded my first memory card with trip photos. But I don't really feel like doing anything with them tonight. I noticed that the pictures from Partnach Gorge didn't turn out very well, and I think I only took about half a dozen pictures there...and I almost ruined my camera for that. We were walking under waterfalls and my camera got very wet (and me too, but I was more concerned about my camera).
