Well, the Park & Sell went pretty well for us. We sold our big ticket items (except for the resin picnic table and matching chairs, which surprises me, because I was selling the entire set for 10 euros/$10). We also sold some of the smaller things, mostly books. Perusing through our book box prompted one woman to exclaim, "Someone here must've gotten an English degree!" HAHA. Damn perceptive. But the vast majority of the books we sold were German language books or travel guidebooks.

But we brought in a good amount of extra money, so I think we did okay. What we didn't sell will go to the thrift store in a few days.

The sale actually goes until 1, but by noon, we had sold all the big things (except the aforementioned table and chairs), so we called it a day. There were only about 6 of us selling things out of our cars, and one guy was already packing up anyway.

Lance got rid of the weed whacker too, which is funny, because he had about half a dozen people ask him about it, and then as soon as he told me that he was having second thoughts about selling it, someone came and bought it. Heh.

Two kids came along and fell in love with one of the stuffed animals I was selling. Their mom bought something from us, so I threw in the stuffed animal too, because it was obvious they wanted it and were hesitant to ask their mom about it. It was so cute...and because one stuffed animal wasn't enough, the little girl grabbed another one off the table and started cuddling it. Her mom laughed and said, "Nice try...but the nice lady already gave you one for free." HAHA.

Anyway, we talked to a lot of nice folks, enjoyed some decent weather (a bit on the chilly side, but very nice today), got rid of some unwanted stuff, and made a few extra bucks. Not a bad day.

Lance and I are eating lunch at the moment, and then we'll get cracking on other moving-related projects. I already spent a good chunk of yesterday afternoon packing up my spring/summer clothes in one of those big vacuum seal bags. And I'm emptying my dresser and organizing everything in the wardrobe, because the wardrobe doesn't belong to us and is staying behind. I still have a little more work to do with respect to that.
