prosodicI applied for 2 jobs today...I feel accomplished! One of them is at Boeing. It isn't where Lance will be working though. If I get the job, my commute would be slightly longer than his (he'll be working at the Kent office, this job is in the Tukwila office - about 15 miles away). And I'm completely qualified for the position! Bonus!
Anyway, I have a few things to do yet to prepare for the movers tomorrow. Most of the stuff they are taking in this shipment has already been put in one corner of the living room. I still need to pile up all the kitchen stuff I want them to take. And Lance has to disconnect my computer.
For dinner this evening, I just mixed together a bunch of stuff from the pantry and made a soup. And it was actually REALLY REALLY good. I browned a pound of ground beef, drained off the fat, added minced garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper, added a can of Campbell's tomato soup, water, beef broth, tomato paste, a couple glugs of balsamic vinegar, a can of green beans, and some large seashell pasta (the kind that you stuff...but I didn't have enough shells to bother making stuffed shells, and some of them were cracked). Cooked all that until the pasta was tender, topped with shredded mozzarella, and served with garlic bread. I didn't measure any of the ingredients so I couldn't make this again if I tried. But it was very filling and tasty...the shells are a bit too big, so we had to break them up with a spoon as we ate, but it wasn't a big deal.
And I have a couple of servings to eat for lunch or dinner during the coming week, since Lance won't be here and I have to fend for myself.
Anyway, I should hop in the shower and put on my pajamas. Lance is listening to the Vikings-Packers game on a Green Bay station (he can't get the game on any Minnesota stations), and he's in a surly mood, since the Packers just scored. Time to make my exit and do something else.
