Plans? What plans?

Yesterday did not go according to plan. First, there was the false start with Boeing, which I already described.
Then there was going to McChord and not being able to get cellphones there.
Then, while I was at the Family Support Center, the base went on lockdown. I was kicked out of the computer lab and Lance was closed out of all the places he had to go to do inprocessing. By the time the lockdown ended, all the offices closed, so Lance was unable to do anything yesterday. And I was bored to death waiting for him in the lounge at the Family Support Center.
Note to self: bring a book. Even if you don't think you need it.
Eventually, we made our way to our other errands. This was around dinner time, so we took a detour to Applebee's first, where I tried the Confetti Chicken on their Weight Watchers Menu...it was about time for me to be virtuous. Yeah...it was OKAY...but easily a meal that I could make myself at home. Not nearly as tasty as their other menu items.
So we went to Walmart after that, and Lance couldn't get a single person to help him with the phones/wireless internet stuff he ordered. It was paid for via internet and shipped to the store, and he stood there and rang the bell THREE TIMES, and half a dozen employees walked by and asked him if he needed assistance, and when he said yes, they disappeared into oblivion.
Meanwhile, I grabbed a few groceries, including milk. We had agreed to meet at the front of the store, and I stood there...and I stood there.
At least half an hour passed before I got worried enough to go back and see what was going on. He had just gotten someone to assist him, and it was a guy that happened to be coming off his break and saw Lance standing there, getting increasingly pissed off.
And we still had to go to Verizon. But both employees there were with customers and said it would take 15 minutes. Fifteen minutes turned into half an hour with no sign of ever ending. And it was getting to closing time and Lance decided that he didn't want to pay the activation fees on the phones. So we walked out.
So...no cellphones either. And I suppose we'll have to wait until Friday to get them, because to avoid the activation fees, he's going to order them online and have them Fed-Exed to our house. But having no phone number means I can't apply for jobs. And I'm almost done with an application packet for Green River Community College and I want to send it ASAP because you can't really dawdle when it comes to applying for open positions.
I'm frustrated. Not at Lance. I understand him not wanting to pay an extra $200, especially since we're paying so much for the phones already. I'm just frustrated at the situation.
And yeah...still jetlagged. And I have a cold, it seems.
Final walk-through on the house today.
