Happy New Year to me!
Dec. 31st, 2007 07:03 pmGuess who has TWO job interviews and a brand new 2008 Mazda 3 Grand Touring in Phantom Blue Mica (a sparkly turquoise color).
If you guessed yours truly, you would be correct!
We were at the car dealership all day, and when we got home, there was a message on the machine from a potential employer who is VERY ANXIOUS to talk to me by the end of this week. This is a job I mentioned a few days ago that is the most appealing of all the ones I've applied for recently.
I will call her back on Wednesday.
I have done my happy dancing in the kitchen. Lance now keeps mocking my happy dance.
In other news, I saw downtown Seattle for the first time today. The Mazda dealership was north of town, and we're south. Why did we go so far? We had a deal through USAA and they select the dealership for us, based on the list of registered dealers with their program.
We paid INVOICE. Only. We got a lot of extras at great discounts. We got great financing. We were HOOKED UP! Much love to Doug's Lynnwood Mazda.
They did not, however, have the car on their lot. My car is at another dealership. They couldn't get it today, but they will have it Wednesday. But because of the driving distance, we won't be able to get it until Saturday.
Delayed gratification. But hopefully...oh, hopefully...I'll have a job by then. I think it'll come down to letters of recommendation, and I hope the people who offered to be my references don't dawdle on those.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
