The Big 3-0

Guam is 18 hours ahead of us, so it is now January 8th there, which means it's my younger brother's birthday.

He's 30!

I get to make fun of him...HAHAHA!

I just sent him a card that said, "Welcome to decrepitude, old man!"

I'm kidding of course. Because I can't forget that I'm always going to be older than him. :P

My "little" sister turned forty yesterday, too. Now, that is really getting into the "older" zone, but to me she will always be 9 years old, the age she was when I left the parental home. Freaky to have a 40 year old younger sister, nonetheless!

And how did my brother spend his birthday? Getting his wisdom teeth pulled out. Hehehe.

I have a hard time thinking of him as an adult, particularly since I've seen very little of him since he's become an adult. This year marks his 10th anniversary of being in the Navy, so he's been traversing the globe ever since. The very first time I realized he was an adult was the first time I saw him in his Navy uniform. It freaked me out.
