I have a job!

It's only temporary, but I don't care. A paycheck!

Data entry. Starts at 5 AM tomorrow morning. Only part-time...I'll go to 10:30 or 11 in the morning.

He said it's until Feb. 1. But if I get permanent employment by then, it's not going to be any big deal to quit the temp job.

That takes some of the stress off, for sure.

And it's very casual...can wear jeans and tennis shoes. In a few days, once I get the hang of the job, I can even take my .mp3 player.

Anyway, Lance and I are getting some work done around the house, but not without incident. He sustained a small eye injury this morning, but if it doesn't heal in a few days, he'll see the doctor.

Thanks. It buys me a bit more time, at least. I was seriously ready to just go down to HD and apply for a job. After all, we practically live there anyway...might as well get paid for it. :P

You could sell the house and move in a HD! Is it one with a restaurant?

They have restaurants? Never heard of that...IKEA is the only home store I know that has one. There is a KFC/Long John Silvers across the street, as well as a Domino's Pizza.

Hmm, I think our HD in KY had a restaurant when you walked in but maybe I'm confusing it with Target now.

But of course you could always live in IKEA, like Mark!

Yeah, our Target has a Starbucks, and a Pizza Hut/snack bar.

Hmm, Starbucks! I was so excited to see the one at the Ramstein BX!

HAHAHA. There are at least 3 within a half mile radius of my house. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I don't think the Starbucks in Fort Knox was much closer to our house than the one in Ramstein is now!

When I lived in GK, the closest Starbucks was in Aachen...45 minutes away. Now, I can just throw a rock and hit one.

And Starbucks isn't even the best coffee place in Seattle. Many Seattle residents actually have great contempt for Starbucks. But here in Kent, there are few other options. I don't see a Tully's here or a Seattle's Best Coffee Company.

All I know is, woe to this city if there is ever a drought in Sumatra or Ecuador, or wherever all these coffee beans come from. Seattle would cease to exist.
