prosodicWell, Heath Ledger's death certainly put my crappy day into perspective yesterday. And it made my day worse, of course, since I love him. Lance had no idea and he came home late from work yesterday. He called me as he was about to leave, and I told him why I've been having a bad day.
I had to hang up quickly because our land line phone was ringing.
Anyway, he came home. He was very sweet. When I laid down around 8:30 to try and sleep, I told him that I needed him to stay with me for awhile. He was watching Mad Money with Jim Cramer and I find that show to be kind of loud and obnoxious, but I let him watch it in our room. He kept the volume down and he laid next to me in bed and stroked my face a little while I snuggled under the covers. As I was getting more and more relaxed, he left me alone, and I fell into a deep sleep.
So I am much better rested this morning, but I also woke up with a sore throat. I just had some lemon tea, so we'll see what happens. I may have to stop at Walgreens on the way home from work and get some throat drops. But if I get sick and can't finish my temp job...oh, what a shame. :P
Anyway, I better get going. I'm allowed to go in at 6 this morning instead of 5 like yesterday, but I still have to pack a breakfast.
