prosodicOkay...one good thing about temp job from hell...
...it keeps me from spending money.
I desperately wanted a bagel and cream cheese today and had every intention of going to Panera on the way home to pick one up. Usually, I get off around noon-1pm...somewhere in that time frame.
Today I was there until 3. Once we finished up the work we were doing, they weren't content to let us go home. They had to send me back to a completely different department to do a totally different job...something that sucks far worse than what I was doing.
And we weren't allowed to leave until absolutely everything was done.
I put in 8.5 hours today. Better than the 10 hours I put in on Monday. But yeah, no bagel.
By the time I got off work, it was pouring, and I was tired and cranky. Just wanted to go straight home.
Just had a shredded chicken sandwich, as I never had the chance to have lunch (I had a lunch break, but it's generally early enough in the day and I eat breakfast on that break, so I skipped lunch entirely).
I'll probably end up having dinner late. It's make your own dinner night anyway.
The job is supposed to end tomorrow, but the rumor is that they're going to have us back next week and possibly beyond that.
Please please God...a job offer would be good anytime now.
