Aieeeeeeeee!
Feb. 8th, 2008 11:40 amWhat is it with Germany and their disgustingly cute polar bears?
I only wish I could go see little Flocke. But I'll have to be content with getting to see Knut in person last year.
Anyway...errands are completed for today.
Filling up Azura - check (although not without the stupid gas nozzle leaking all over the car when I pulled it out)
Post office - check (job application should be received tomorrow, but probably won't be opened until Monday)
And I am done. It's not pleasant outside. The usual grayness and rain. I had half a mind to stop at Starbucks to pick up a nice hot chai, but my heated car seats are usually too comfortable to compel me to leave my car unnecessarily when I'm out running errands. I don't think any of the Starbucks nearby have drive-thrus.
I'll save it for tomorrow, when Lance and I are at McChord and he has to get his hair cut. I'll sit at Starbucks with a book while I wait for him.
So today...laundry. Vacuuming. Finishing up the grocery list.
Planned meals so far:
- Slow Cooker Apricot Chicken, wild rice, green beans
- Greek-Style Slow Cooker Meatballs with Artichokes (Lance will have to pick out the 'chokes, but that's okay. I've been wanting to try this recipe for awhile).
- Chicken Cordon Bleu casserole
- Italian Crescent Casserole (basically meat, sauce and cheese with a crescent roll crust, probably will be served with a side of pasta)
Hmmm...need a couple more meals, I suppose. We're probably doing Papa Murphy's for V-Day, as I said before. Next Friday is Bunco, but I haven't determined if we're going yet (the hosts live on McChord, so it's quite a drive)...if we go, they're doing a big fondue feast.
I'm sure I'll figure something out. I just really hate meal planning. The preparation and cooking thereof is not an issue.
Now...to go throw the first load into the dryer, and get myself some Greek veggie salad for lunch. I'm now horribly addicted to this stuff.
