And then it came on again last night, and I cackled and cackled, and Lance was so puzzled, because he had no idea what was so funny. I had to explain to him why it was funny to me. And while I give props to Snickers for this ad, I do think that it's not for everyone.

Date: 2008-02-19 11:03 pm (UTC)But because I was a scholar of the history of that period and of the literature, and I knew that Henry VIII was the attributed author of that song, I find the humor in it.
I am not trying to come off sounding like a snob, and I hope I don't. I realize that most people probably don't get this commercial. And that's why Lance was so puzzled that I found it hilarious.
