Early last week, I was bored, so I went to my profile on classmates.com and updated it with several photos from the last few years...pictures of Lance and I, or of just me, in various European cities.

I also wrote a new biography.

Suddenly, I have 2 new names in my classmates.com guestbook. Unfortunately, I don't have a paid membership, so I can't see who stopped by. But I'm curious. Curious enough to pay for a membership? No. Besides, I put my Blogger address in my biography...if any former classmates really wanted to get in touch with me, I'm not hard to find. And Facebook is basically for the purpose of reconnecting with people, so they can find me there too.

Last year, someone signed my guestbook. And I got a free Gold Membership for a month, so I could finally see who left their name. It was someone I barely even knew...a guy who graduated a year or two ahead of me, who, as far as I knew, didn't even know I existed. Weird. And disappointing. I was hoping for something more exciting...like an old friend I lost touch with or better yet, someone I used to have a crush on.

I think the mystery of who left me messages is probably much more exciting than the reality, so I will probably just leave it at that.

I fucking hate Classmates.com. I, too, have received "mystery messages" and never been able to check them due to the fact that I refuse to pay for a stupid fucking membership. Besides, anyone lame enough to contact you via Classmates instead of Facebook or MySpace isn't worth talking to, anyway. This is 2008, not 1997, when Classmates was all the rage!

HAHAHA. Well, seeing as how I have no contact with any of my former classmates, I don't care enough to seek them out anyway...if they want to seek me out, they obviously need to pay more attention to my profile and find me through the channels I suggested.

I really don't spend a lot of time on classmates.com anyway. I saw a lot of my classmates at the reunion 5 years ago, and there were really only about 2 people there that I even had an interest in talking to.

I've been talking to old classmates too, our 10 year reunion is coming up this year though I'm not exactly sure if there's going to be an actual reunion, nobody wants to plan it. But it's weird, even people that I was never close to in any way (I was never part of the "cool" crowd) talk to me like we were best friends. Maybe they confuse me with somebody else?

I dunno...some guy I absolutely loathed in high school...someone who harrassed me and terrorized me either my freshman or sophomore year, pretended like we were good friends at my reunion. I tried desperately to get away from him. He was still as much of a creep at the reunion as he was in high school.
