This has been quite a week.

I got two job offers.

So I accepted one (and I already said which one that was in my post yesterday), and I have to go there at 2:00 to fill out paperwork and be sent off for drug testing. Guess I better start drinking some water.

Looks like I'll be starting the first week or so of April.

This means that I have to get out next week and buy an entire work wardrobe, as I have nothing appropriate to wear to this job other than the clothes I interviewed in.

Anyway, I'm relieved. Much more relieved than I am happy or excited or whatever. And also, at the beginning of May, I'll be flying across the country to Rochester, NY. My first ever business trip (the trips I took for travel writing don't count...I was already going to those places anyway and just wrote an article about them while I was there).

I get to call my temp agency in about an hour and quit! Huzzah!

In other news, chores are starting to pile up here. We had bad winds last night and there are little alien seed pods scattered all over the backyard. So I need to find a rake to get those up before I can mow the lawn. Yes, we don't have a rake. How lame are we? It's just something that Lance never got around to buying after we moved in...after all, most of the leaves had already been raked up by the previous owner before we closed on the house.

So tomorrow - off to McChord to get groceries and a rake. Come home and mow the lawn. Get a car wash too, while I'm out and about.

Easter - sit around and feel sorry for myself. Eat lots of chocolate.

Monday - probably my shopping spree. I'm actually quite anxious to do it now, but it looks like I have a pretty full day ahead today.

There should be some celebratory vino tonight. Oh yes. I think that's what I need.

The 2nd job offer came this morning...the company that I interviewed with yesterday. Both offers were good and pretty much identical, but in the end, I went with what was closest.
