...are really greasy. Yikes. But 2 sticks of butter will do that.

I'm not fond of this recipe. But I am freezing half for Lance. He'll eat them. The other half I am giving to Ruby & her husband, although I suspect he will mostly be the one eating them.

I had my reservations about the recipe, but I didn't want to make a run to the store, I had butter that was near its expiration date, and I don't generally use baking chocolate unless it's around Christmas, so I needed to clean that out of the pantry.

I didn't have kosher salt either. I can't even find that stuff at the grocery store. I found a conversion table and used regular salt.

And apparently, when I was looking at the reviews of the recipe before trying it, the parchment paper is important because with all the butter, the cookies do get greasy. The parchment kind of sops up the excess, I guess. I know when I peeled up the wax paper (didn't have parchment) when cleaning, grease city. It had even sent through the paper onto the cookie sheet.
