So I woke up this morning with my throat still very sore. Sometimes I get sore throats in the evenings and they go away during the night while I'm sleeping. No such luck this time, so I think this means I'm coming down with something.

But aside from also being overly tired, I feel pretty okay. Still, in the interest of not wearing myself down unnecessarily, I'm taking it easy today. It's not hard to do...it's been raining ice pellets off and on and decidedly unpleasant outside.

I ran some errands, in anticipation of possibly being laid up in bed over the next few days. First, I gassed up the car. Just wanted to do that before the prices jump back up again, since I heard on the news that the price of oil has gone up again, and the prices have just gone down a bit.

Then I stopped at Hollywood Video to pick up a couple of movies. Saturday mornings are bad times to go. They had no more copies of the two movies I most wanted to rent. So I'll have to see about getting those for next weekend, maybe picking them up on Thursday or something.

Went to the grocery store to get my "sick food." Scrambled eggs are probably the most comforting thing for me to eat when I'm sick, so I got fresh eggs. I picked up a container of hot chicken and dumpling soup from the ready-made takeout food section. I got lemon tea, lemon mint throat drops, and milk, because I'm almost out.

Came home and ate half the soup, which was so delicious and exactly what I wanted. I watched part of Sleepless in Seattle (missed the first hour) and then took a nice, deep afternoon nap.

Hoping I start feeling better tomorrow. I already think my throat doesn't hurt quite as bad as it did last night, although I am feeling a little pressure in my right ear now too.
